Rebekah is a driven, organized teacher who develops inspiring relationships with her students! She has wonderful rapport with people of all ages, especially middle school children.

Rebekah has a unique and wonderful rapport with the faculty and students of Catalyst Learning Hub. She’s extraordinarily talented at connecting with the kids and educating in a creative and engaging fashion. She has excellent communication skills, along with strong parent-teacher relations. Rebekah is both professional and approachable, which allows for open and constructive discussion about our kids.

We can’t say enough about Rebekah for what has been truly a pivotal year in our child’s educational career! He has learned more this year at Catalyst than all his years in the traditional/archaic educational system!! We are so blessed to have found Catalyst and for this amazing opportunity!! My name is Dr. Dana DePerno. I am a veterinarian and owner of Malibu Coast Animal Hospital and Palisades Animal Clinic, and mother of 3 children. I am writing this letter is in recommendation of Rebekah Alarcon to your educational program. Rebekah has been the lead educator for my son Max’s progressive start-up middle school educational program at Catalyst Education this year.

This school year has been an incredible period of immersion, engagement and wonder for Max. Leading a group of strong-minded boys, Rebekah has tailored an exciting path of learning for them that has been unlike anything we’ve experience before in education. She signed on with the Leadership Team of Catalyst to create a program that would prepare the students with the investigative, problem-solving skills that they’ll require to navigate the world they will be entering in just a few short years in a manner that has been both stimulating and fun. Creating math and science projects and working with her fellow educators to integrate and relate lessons across a variety of traditional subjects has been remarkable to watch.

I am a parent representative and Chairman of the Sycamore Board of Directors, which oversees the Catalyst Program as well as the elementary education facility the Sycamore School. The students love her attitude and the energy she brings to lessons, and the way she handles the interpersonal strife that comes with middle-school adolescence. She is patient, caring, nurturing, but also direct, confident and purposeful in her actions and responses.
